What is Creative Collective Winnipeg?

Creative Collective Winnipeg is a secret club for creative-minded people to meet up and work on their personal projects in a supportive group setting. The Collective meets biweekly on Sundays and gives participants the time, space, and accountability that many of us need in order to turn an idea into a finished work. Plus, you’ll meet other creative people doing cool things!

How does it work?

It’s pretty simple. Reserve a spot to find out the meeting location and join us for our next biweekly session.

Then, just show up at 12 pm with whatever you need to work on your project.

At 12:05, we’ll begin the session by asking participants to introduce themselves and state what they hope to accomplish in the session. Then, we start creating!

The session runs until 3 pm; please allow yourself time to tidy and reset your space before the session ends.

Do I have to reserve a spot, or can I just show up?

Reservations are mandatory. We require a reservation for several reasons:

• Each session has limited seats

• We need accurate numbers to assess the right quantity of food and beverage we need to supply

What kind of projects can I work on?

As a rule of thumb, projects are only ineligible if they are too large scale to be brought in and out of the space before and after the session, or are likely to disturb the concentration of other participants.

Examples of projects we encourage include:

• Writing projects

• Digital art projects

• Painting, drawing, and other small-scale visual art projects

• Business planning and creation

• Coding and product building projects

• Video editing projects

Please note that projects involving audio playback require the use of headphones to minimize disturbance to the group.

Do you provide supplies?

NO, participants must bring all of their own supplies and bring all supplies home with them after each session. We will do our best to help return forgotten supplies and projects to you, but we are not able to store projects or supplies at this time.

Participants are also responsible for tidying up and resetting their workspace after the session.

Will there be food?

YES! Water, coffee, and light snacks will be provided.

Will there be group workshops?

Currently, NO. We will consider this in the future according to demand.
